Real world example

Bob Marley

He stopped the political violence in Jamaica by causing two leaders to join hands on stage at one of his concerts.

In his protest music Bob Marley, used metaphors to communicate a universal message to listeners. 'Jah' represents goodness and love, and Babylon is a destructive force. The theme of war is used to stress human rights problems. Metaphors of oppression and freedom, such as chains and birds, depict social problems and ways of liberation. Music is an effective form of communication in regions of illiteracy and poverty.

He put Jamaica and Jamaican culture on the map.
-He popularized reggae music.
-He popularized the Rastafari Movement.

He popularized the Rasta colors of red, gold and green now seen every where and used by top designers like Adidas, Louie Vutton and Gucci.
