Red Oak tree
Quercus rubra
Red Oak grows in northeastern America and southeastern Canada. It takes 18 months for the pollinated acorn to germinate and 2 years for the growing tree to stop developing. The tree will not start blooming until it is around 20 years old. Under great conditions it can take about 10 years for the tree to get to be 20 ft tall. These trees can live up to 325 years and be 90 ft tall.
