The Homestead Strike

- WHAT EVENTS LED THE STRIKE?-

Andrew Carnegie wanted to improve the steel company by cutting costs. He negotiated with Henry Clay Frick whom was known to have what he wants. Carnegie put him in charge of the Homestead mills because he knew that Frick would do anything in his power to do what is necessary to gain good profit.

Frick sought to revoke sliding scale payment and cut wages.
