Allegory
A story in prose fiction, poetry, drama or visual language that has more than one level of meaning. The characters, events and situations represent other characters, events and situations. For example, the invasion of the rabbits in the picture book, 'the rabbits', by Shaun tan and john marsden. The rabbits represent the colonisation of Australia by the British empire. Allegories often represent moron or political situations.
