The creator of this picture I found is unknown. But the meaning is very strong. The meaning of this picture is to show everyday trench warfare, especially in color. Emotions portrayed in this picture are determination and failure. The British soldiers are determined to fight and ready for what they are about to do while the other man has failed and already fallen into the trench. The significance of this picture is to have us be aware of how trench warfare was actually like. I believe that this is a very strong picture and is meant to make us appreciate what troops did for their country during this war
