To measure the amount of chirps a cricket makes when exposed to different temperatures one would take two equal groups of crickets and put them in separate tanks. One tank would be room temperature and the other would be a warmer temperature. Then somebody would listen and record the amount of chirps from each different tank.

If you were to do this experiment the crickets in the warmer temperature would chirp more because the heat would have affected them in some way.
