Consequences

When prices rise, less goods and services are able to be bought with one dollar. Inflation, the general rise in prices of goods and services, causes a depreciation in the value of the currency used in the economy in which the inflation is occurring. When this happens, less foreign goods are able to be bought with that currency as well.
