CONVECTION- heat transfer through moving currents in gases or liquids, it can only happen in gases (air) or liquids (water).

CONDUCTION- transfer of heat within materials and between different materials that are in direct contact.

RADIATION- energy transfer through electromagnetic waves, it can transfer heat in all directions and requires no contact.
