Speaking and communication anxiety

EVIDENCE

Galajda's (2013) study:

"High apprehensives tend to withdraw from communication because of uneasiness..." "Such anxiety results in a state in which people tend to avoid communication acts..." (p.36)

Study found that students who use their L1 in communicating reduce their anxiety.

"As communication in formal contexts seem to be hard for the students, they prefer to choose L1 as a language of communication..." (p.44)
