Sulfur (by Peyton)
-Sulfur's atomic number is 16, its symbol is S, and it's atomic mass is 32.065.
-It is a nonmetal, and therefore, it does not conduct electricity (nonmetals normally don't.)
-It is a solid (powder) at room temperature.
-It is also insoluble in water (it dissolves.)
-Sulfur is in the Oxygen group, or the Chalcogen group.
-Sulfur is flammable.
-Sulfur deposits are found near hot springs.
Fun fact: Sulfur was believed to have been used in "Greek fire", a weapon similar to a flamethrower from the Byzantine empire! :)

Sulfur is a pale yellow, odorless, brittle solid and is essential to life because it is a minor constituent of fats, body fluids, and skeletal minerals.
