Most important missionary of the period. He was a Jesuit priest who traveled throughout Asia, bringing Catholicism to parts of India and Japan.

King Henry VIII

Henry's wife could no longer have children, but Henry wanted a son to take on his throne. So, he asked the pope to officially end his marriage. The pope refused so he left and created his own church, The Church of England or Anglican Church. He, unlike the rest, left for personal reasons rather than religious.
