Major Conflicts:

A lack of water

Because of the arid climate there is little water in this region. With such a large population, this serves as an extreme problem.

Solutions like irrigation and urbanization near the small water resources available like the Nile River are all present. They also utilize groundwater and wells.

This is significant because humanity is heavily reliant upon water, and with little supply of it in SWANA there are many hurdles present when trying to achieve water.

Effects include agricultural restrictions, salinization in altered water sources, and adaptations in plants and animals to help water conservation.
