I am personally against nuclear warfare but I do not believe it will ever go away. The fact that you could blow up the whole world makes even the country equipped with the bombs nervous. No one wants to destroy their own, that is why nuclear bombs are used mainly as threats/blackmail/currency. No one really wants to use them, but having them can make others respect and do stuff for your nation. Some may think that countries will start to realize that most threats aren't real, but won't be willing to test it with so much at stake.
