Foiling Density and Effect

- Light density: 30% or less of the hair in each section is highlighted in foil and partings are 1/2" apart.

- Medium density: 50% of the hair in each section is highlighted in foil and partings are 1/4" to 1/2" apart.

- Heavy density: 70% of the hair in each section is highlighted in foil and partings are 1/8" to 1/4" apart.

Weaving Effects:
- Fine effect is achieved with 10 to 12 weaves per subsection
- Medium effect is achieved with 6to 8 weaves per subsection
- Strong effect is achieved with 2
to 3 weaves per subsection

Slicing effects:
- A fine effect is achieved by takinga fine slice of hair to be colored
in a foil packet
- A medium effect is achieved by
taking 2 back-to-back slices in
a row before leaving hair out in
between the foils
- A strong effect is achieved by
taking 3 back-to-back slices in
a row before leaving hair out in
between the foils

Slicing is bolder than weaving!
