What habitat does the water hyacinth live in?

The water Hyacinth currently occurs along the East coast of Australia from Kiama in NSW to Southern Cape New York Peninsula in Queensland.the water hyacinth grows in still or slow flowing fresh water in tropical temperate climates.the optimum growth occurs at temperatures between 28 degrees Celsius to30 degrees celcius,it is rapidly killed by sea strength salinity and won't grow in brackish water.
