The Catholic Church was becoming corrupt. The were starting to notice this. The moved it to western Christianity. here were many complaints because wrong doings of the church.

King Henry started the Reformation. He couldn't have any sons with his wife, so he asked the Pope to let him get divorced. The Pope said no, so Henry started his own church and the Reformation
