Sibling Bullying Increases Depression Risk

The study of depression in children bullied by their siblings took place at the University of Oxford and Warwick and Bristol University College London. Before Dr. Lucy had started the experiment , many of the parents did not recognize that the children were being bullied. The article states that many of the children who are bullied by their sibling starting at age 8 are twice as likely to suffer from depression, anxiety, and self- harm in their older ages(starting at age 18) than people who were not bullied by their siblings. If parents do know about sibling bullying but do not think it is that big of a deal, they should deal with it before it escalates.
