Status

•Much of Roman clothing was designed to reveal the social status of the wearer. (We will be seeing this thought this presentation)

•The higher a person was in society the more their clothing was distinctively marked.

•Then peasants' clothing was not marked whatsoever as their clothes remained basic which indicated their status in society.
