🔹Merchants were anybody who sold goods, traders, and made profit through people
-usually wealthy
🔹Similar to craftsmen
-later on their jobs will
become more
distinguished
🔹Merchants also developed a system of insurance to help reduce business risks
🔹A tiny percentage of population because only few towns had independence from the feudal system
