Tropism

Tropism is the response to directional stimuli (or movement).

-Phototropism is when a plant responds to sunlight by either turning toward the light or away from the light.

-Geotropism is a plants movement toward or away from the earth.

-Thigmatropism is movement towards or away from touch.

-Traumatropism is a plants response to trauma like a root being pulled or a plant breaking.
