Looking ahead

After king LouisXIV died his great-grandson LouisXV took over the throne at the age of five.

Although France was then the strongest state in Europe,years of warfare had drain the treasury.

The prosperity nurtured by Colbert evaporated under the bad harvest,high taxes,and etc.

Louis XV was too weak to deal with such problems.
