HOW RAPIDE WORKS
FDM TECHNOLOGY
Rapide Lite 200 uses FDM technology to print 3D models using a variety of materials. Simply put, Rapide Lite 200 adds very fine layers of material on top of each other which bond together to form the structure.
X,Y MOTION
Rapide Lite uses what is commonly referred to as the X,Y motion. Simply put, this allows the printer to move in multiple directions with the aid of software and stepper motors to create the layers, which become the model.
PRECISION
Rapide Lite offers a high quality 3D printing experience. Incorporating our unique X Wing Design X axis and Q Extruder, Rapide 3D has been able to achieve outstanding stability, performance and precision.
SOFTWARE
Rapide Lite, like all Rapide 3D printers, are designed to work with the latest and best open source software programs. We recommend Cura, but Rapide Lite will work equally well with any of the top softwares available. If you have software you would like us to test for you, we will be happy to assist.
.STL
Rapide Lite uses the .stl source file format to print designs from. Many design packages have the ability to convert files to .stl which are then optimized by slicing them. Most open source software has a built in slicer to make conversion straight forward.
THE FUTURE
Rapide Lite is future proof. Rapide 3D has invested heavily in 3D printer technology and a facility from which to manufacture the best new 3D printers. We don’t know what the future holds, but we do know that it’s bright, exciting, and Rapide Lite is going to be a big part of that.
