The theme change is changeless is shown in Tuck Everlasting. It is shown when the Tucks realize that they can not change the mistake that they made eighty years ago, that ended up changing their lives forever. They know that their is no way, to fix the problem that they had created, and they know that that change they created is changeless, and they have learned to live with that. Also they could not stop the world from changing, while they stayed in their places, stuck in life.

This theme is also showed in, "Urashima and The Princess of The Sea". It is applied in this story because Taro, had to accept the fact that on land, everything had changed, nothing was the same, and he couldn't do anything that would fix that situation. There was no way to get his family back. Even after attempting to use the jewel box, the problems that occurred while he was gone, didn't hid themselves. He couldn't change the things that changed while he was under the sea, there was no way.

Theme: Change is Changeless

Tuck Everlasting Urashima Taro and The Princess of The Sea

The tucks know that there is no way that they can change the past, there is no way, change is changeless.

Because they know that change is changeless, they decide to tell Winnie the secret, as they know that they cannot go back and fix their mistakes.

Urashima learned that change is changeless when he returned from the place under the sea. He tried to fix it by opening the box, but what had been done could not be changed.
