The spinning Jenny

James Hargreaves invented the spinning Jenny. He originally invented a different machine, but when his daughter Jenny, was playing, she knocked over that machine and its wheel continued to spin freely and that's when Hargreaves had a vision and decided to call his new invention the spinning Jenny.
