Comet Swift-Tuttle
Comet Swift-Tuttle was discovered in July of 1862 by Lewis Swift and Horace Tuttle. Thats how it got the name Swift-Tuttle. It is not a very large comet however it is a little larger than average. It's nucleus is six miles across. We will likely see it again in 2126-2128. It is about the size of the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs. It moves closer to the sun every 120 years. Some people believe that Swift-Tuttle will collide with Earth but that won't happen anytime soon.
