3 Ocean Zones

Emphatic Zone: the surface is down about a hundred meters or so. There is enough sunlight to support colonies of tiny plants, and small animals such as plankton.

Bathyal Zone: there is little to no light between 200 and 2000 meters

Abyssal Zone: there is no sunlight, and it can go down 6000 meters or so. Pressure could turn you to paste.
