-Boston Massacre-group of Boston colonists that began throwing rocks and snowballs at British soldiers; scuffling ensued and the panicking soldiers fired, killing five people

-Committees of Correspondence-created by the American colonies in order to maintain communication with one another
1773
-Boston Tea Party-December 16, 1773, a band of Bostonians, disguised as Indians, boarded the ships and dumped the tea into the sea.
1774
-Intolerable Acts-restricted colonists' rights. The laws made restrictions on town meetings, and stated that enforcing officials who killed colonists in the line of duty would be sent to Britain for trial.
-1st Continental Congress-met in Philadelphia in order to redress colonial grievances over the Intolerable Acts.
