Biodiversity: diversity among and within plant and animal species in an environment.


Environment: the air, water, minerals, organisms, and all other external factors surrounding and affecting a given organism at any time.

Adaptations: a form or structure modified to fit a changed environment.

Landform:a specific geomorphic feature on the surface of the earth, ranging from large-scale features such as plains, plateaus, and mountains to minor features such as hills, valleys, and alluvial fans.

Predator: any carnivorous animal


Plateaus: a land area having a relatively level surface considerably raised above adjoining land on at least one side, and often cut by deep canyons.
