protagonist: the main character in a novel, play, movie, etc.
antagonist: a person who opposes another person
tone: a feeling expressed by the words in writing
point of view: a position or perspective from which something is considered or evaluated
setting: the time, place, and conditions in which the actions the book, movie, etc., takes place
theme: the main subject that is being discussed or described in a piece of writing, a movie, etc.
author: the writer of a story
simile: a phrase using like or as to compare
metaphor: a phrase that suggests similarity
personification: attribution of personal qualities
