Big Predators: Featured Animal: Cougar!!!

1. Cougar: This big cat eats elk, deer, caribou, smaller mammals and fish. The cougar is also know as a mountain lion, puma, panther, mountain cat, or catamount.
2. Brown Bear: This huge mammal eats plants including berries, grasses, flowers, acorns and pine cones as well as fungi, animal matter including insects, larvae and grubs, beehives, fish like salmon, and large animals like elk.

3. Wolf: The wolf eats large mammals like deer. They also have fight over prey with brown bears, and they often lose.
4. Coyote: The coyote eats small mammals and some fruits. The wolf commonly preys on the coyote where their ranges overlap.
