A Short Biography

Charles Lutwidge Dodgson was born on 27th of January 1832 in Cheshire, England.

He was the third of 11 children and son of a clergyman.

In 1856 he published his first poem under a pseudonym.

He won many awards during his schooling for mathematics and a scholarship to Christ Church college.

He then went on to teach until 1881.

He never married or had children and he died on 14 January 1898, two weeks away from being 66.
