Save everything! It is all part of the history of the piece of writing, and you never know when you might want to use it again.

Date and label everything to help you keep track of everything.

Write on one side of the paper only and always skip lines or type double-spaced. Both will make revision, polishing, and editing easier and more productive.

Punctuate and spell as you go.

Begin each workshop by reading what you have already read.

Writing is thinking! Do not disrupt others.

When you confer with others, record responses on peer conference form so you can remember suggestions

Write as well and as much as you can!
