Prognosis:

As this disease progresses regardless of the first part of the body that is affected this will eventually spread to other other parts of the body, affecting your breathing, moving, speaking or forming of words. In the later stages of this disease walking, standing, getting out of bed, and using hand and arms will be nearly impossible. Most of the time individuals suffer from respiratory failure normally within 3-5 yrs due to weakening of the of the muscles of the respiratory system.
