Much of southern and eastern California is Desert. Summer days are blazing hot and resources are hard to find. It's very hard for people to adapt to this land. People move from place to place to harvest ripe plants or to find water when wells dry up. The Cahuilla, however, built towns near steady springs or streams. Hunter- gatherers brought food to the town.

This connects with my job because some written history could be in those buried towns and wells
