Organizations founded

- The National Association for the Advancement of colored people (NAACP): the purpose of this association was to abolish segregation and discrimination, to oppose racism, and to gain civil rights for African Americans.

-The National Urban League was associated because it improved job opportunities and housing for blacks. African Americans began to publish literature, history, and sociological studies.

-The National Negro Business League was associated to help the black-owned businesses that began appearing everywhere.
