At the top of the church's hierarchy was the pope, the bishop of Rome. Below him, are the cardinals who advises the pope. Then the archbishops and the bishops who are in charge of regions. And then priest who have their own church's. Then, at the bottom there are the monks/nuns who work in monisteries.
