The Opinion

The state of New Jersey won 6-3. The state's school's officials do have the right to search bags as long as they have a reasonable suspicion. Students still have their 4th amendment rights at school but if there is a reasonable suspicion or a reasonable cause for a search, then the officials of the school can proceed in searching.
