Can a person be baptized more than once?

If a person has been baptized in another faith tradition where they use the Trinitarian formula of water and (in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit) it is recognized as a valid baptism in the Catholic Church. Baptism wipes away original sin and that is only done once. Baptism leaves a perpetual mark on the soul. This can only be done once.

- Why do we call Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation the Sacraments of Initiantion

Initiation means “BEGINNING.”
Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist “lay the foundations” for the Christian life.
These three sacraments also mark the beginning of the life-long journey that is the Christian life.
