It was in the south that Jim Crow became firmly established. These laws began appearing there a few years after the end of the reconstruction. By the end of the early 1900s Jim Crow laws dominated almost every aspect of southern daily life. They required the deprecation of blacks and white in schools, parks, public buildings, Hospitals and on transportation systems.
