General Information

Most clocks have an escape mechanism that works by transferring force driving the gears to turn into an oscillating mechanism.
Each oscillating mechanism has its own frequency of oscillation and period of movement which are used to determine the amount of time each oscillation takes. Clocks are able to keep accurate time with oscillating pieces.
