Peterson Road to the NFL

Adrian Peterson immediately adjusted to the heightened completion at Oklahoma. Peterson ran for 183 yard in his third college game and topped the 200 yard mark three times and ended with 1,925 yards and he placed second in the 2004 Heisman trophy and was named consensus All American.

Peterson was selected by The Minnesota Vikings in the 2007 NFL draft and was the 7th overall pick. Adrian Peterson erupted 224 yards in his fourth NFL game and ended his rookie season with 1341 yards and was named offensive rookie of the year.Peterson led all running backs with1,760 yards in 2008 and 18 touchdowns in 2009 but the season ended in bitter fashion with multiple fumbles in the NFL Championship Game. Adrian Peterson was born on March 21 1985 in Palestine Texas. Peterson was the son of a former Idaho State university basketball player and his mother was a Texas state track and field state champion.Peterson endured notable traumatic moments as a child. At age 7 he watched his older brother get killed by a drunk driver but he learned to to channel his anger through sports. he played basketball ran track at Palestine High but clearly was at his best on the football field. Perteson rushed for 2960 yards and 32 as a senior running back winning National player of the Yeah honors for numerous outlets and committed to play the university of Oklahoma.
