ARCTIC SEA ICE IS DISAPPEARING

Almost every summer, the amount of remaining ice gets smaller. That summer ice is vitally important to a whole range of animals. Scientists estimate that if current forecasts are correct about the future extent of sea ice, then two-thirds of the polar bear population will become extinct by 2050.
