Parris
The minister of Salem’s church. Parris is a paranoid, power-hungry, yet oddly self-pitying figure. Many of the townsfolk dislike him. But Parris is really worried about his figure in the community.
"Then why can she not move herself since midnight? This child is desperate! Abigail lowers her eyes. It must come out-my enemies will bring it out. Let me know what you done there. Abigail, do you understand that I have many enemies?" (Pg. 35)
"ELIZABETH: I think, maybe, we have been too hard with Mr. Parris. I think so. But sure we never loved the Devil here." (Pg. 69)
The 1st quote shows that parris has many enemies and he knows
The 2nd quote shows people speaking bad of Mr. parris and calling him the devil
I think that the outcome for parris in the book is that everyone will love parris towards the end of the book
