Cuban Missile crisis

The Cuban missile crisis was in October, 1962. The soviets had deployed nuclear missiles in Cuba and had aimed at the United States and claimed Cuban defense. Kennedy blockaded Cuba and demanded removal. After this Khrushchev backed down and Kennedy pledged not to overthrow Castro.
