Symptoms: there are numerous deformities like clenched hands, crossed legs, low birth weight, mental delay, poorly developed fingernails, small jaw, small head, and many more.
Occurrence: The occurrence of Edwards syndrome is 1 in every 3,000 live births.
This means this disorder is common.
Life expectancy: a child with Edwards syndrome is from 4 months to a year old.
Treatment: There is no cure for this disease at this time. Surgery can treat some of the issues but not all of them. Treatment today consists of palliative care, Similar to hospice.
