There are four types of albinism the first type is the oculocutaneous albinism it's a mutation in one or four genes in chromosome 11 it affects the skin and the eyes. They still have the chance that during childhood or adolescence can produce melanin.

The next is the Chediak-Higashi syndrome it's very rare it's a mutation in the LYST gene. The symptoms are similar to the one's of the oculocutaneous albinism but the have a defect in white blood cells and they are vulnerable to infections their hair is brown to blonde and their skin is to white to kind of a silverish color.

The next type of albinism is x-linked ocular albinism it occurs only in mans and is a gene mutation on the x-chromosome. They have eyes problems but their skin, eyes, and hair is similar to their families just a little bit lighter in color.

The next type of albinism is the hermansky-pudlak syndrome is very rare but it is a mutation in one of at least eight genes associated with this syndrome it' similar to the ocultaneous albinism but this one includes lung, bowel diseases and bledding disorders.
