Respiration

During respiration, cells break down simple food molecules such as glucose and release the energy they contain.

Photosynthesis and Respiration can be thought of as the opposite processes.

C6 H12 O6 + 6O2 -----> 6Co2 + 6H2O

Cellular respiration occurs in the mtiochondria of an organism's cells.

Glucose/Sugar + Oxygen ----------> Carbon dioxide + Water
