Hegira (Hijra) and its effects

-Hegira(Hijra) was the Muslim migration to Medina because Muslims were kicked out of Mecca by the pagan majority.
-Muhammad sent his followers to Medina for sanctuary.
-He talked to Median people and they liked his character.
-Medians asked if he would move and be an arbitratory for fueds.
-It was the most important foundational movements in the history of Islam because the Median people accepted Islam and in no time he was their leader.
-Because of the migrations importance, the migration marks the first day of the Islamic calendar.
