Germans integrated easily because the American society was still in formation, so German customs were more easily accepted. They made a town in Pennsylvania called Germantown.

Germans also shared the same religion as Americans (Christianity), so they settled in easier.

Germans became farmers, glass makers, printers, beer brewers, sausage makers, and gunsmiths.
