what happens in the lungs

when tom is in the lungs he gets oxygenated but that's not all, there's also a gas exchange too!

when your exhale, everything happens in reverse.
your cells have used the oxygen they need and your blood is now carrying wastes such as carbon dioxide that must leave your body.

once the waste gets to your alveoli then you just breath it out the opposite way. that's why when you exhale the air is warm.
